Bianca Vanessa Andreescu is a professional Canadian female tennis player who plays right-handed (two-handed backhand). Bianca started playing tennis at the very young age of just 7. Bianca's parents are both Romanian. Her father is Nicu and her mother is Maria.

Bianca hit the worlds attention especially in the women's tennis game in March 2019, when she won her first WTA title in the Californian desert. (Indian Wells, BNP Paribas Open). On route to the final, she knocked out Irina-Camelia Begu, Dominika Cibulkova, Stefanie Vögele, Wang Qiang, Garbiñe Muguruza, Elina Svitolina and eventually beat Angelique Kerber in three tight sets. (6-4 3-6 6-4). She became the first wildcard to reach the finals in Indian Wells history. The tournament is a Premier Mandatory event.

17th of March 2019. Indian Wells, California, USA. 18-year-old Canadian wild card Bianca Andreescu has capped a dream fortnight with a thrilling win over three-time Grand Slam champion and former world No.1 Angelique Kerber to win the BNP Paribas Open, Indian Wells. 13th of March 2019. Indian Wells, California. USA. Bianca Andreescu battered Garbine Muguruza 6-0 6-1 in just 52 minutes in the quarter-finals of the BNP Paribas Open on her debut appearance, to reach the semi-finals. Regardless of the semi-final result Bianca will rocket up the rankings when they are released on Monday.
