Heather Watson Biography

Heather Watson is a British tennis player and a former British number 1. Her favourite surface is hardcourts. Heather plays right-handed (two-handed backhand).

First WTA title

On the 14th of October 2012, Heather Watson won her first WTA singles title with a victory over Chang Kai-chen of Taiwan in the final of the Japan Open, becoming the first British female tennis player to win a WTA singles title since Sara Gomer in 1988.
