Petra Kvitova beats Garbine Muguruza to win the 2018 Qatar Total Open, Doha

Petra Kvitova beat Garbine Muguruza of Spain to win the 2018 Qatar Total Open in Doha. The Czech came from a set down to win the match 3-6 6-3 6-4 (Her second title of 2018).

  • This was Petra’s 13th consecutive victory
  • She has now won back to back tournaments after winning St Petersburg two weeks ago.
  • She now has 22 titles to her name.
  • This victory now puts her back into the world’s top ten when the new rankings are released on Monday.

Before the tournament she was ranked 21st in the world. Kvitova continues to impress after her comeback to tennis having had six months out of the game due to a knife attack at her home in 2016.
